Father with experience of imprisonment

We are keen to speak with people who have lived experience of being in prison as young father (aged 18-25 years). You might be recently released from prison or released a while ago so a bit older. As long as you were a young father when in prison, we want to hear from you.

We would discuss the study with you and discuss being part of our Public Involvement group. Do drop us an email (fatherstogether@ucl.ac.uk).

Family member or friend of a young father in prison

We are keen to speak with family members or friends who have experienced the impact of imprisonment of a young father (aged 18-25 years). You might be a partner, parent, uncle, aunt or close friend - we are open to hear from anyone aged 18 or above. We would discuss the study with you and invite you to an individual interview with a researcher. This can be held in-person or online and you will get a voucher to thank you for your time. Do drop us an email (fatherstogether@ucl.ac.uk).

Work professionally with young people in prison

We are keen to speak with staff who work with young men in prison (aged 18-25 years) and have insights to offer in relation to the role of families and broader support needs (i.e. housing, employment). You might be a prison governor, prison officer, social worker, psychologist, resettlement worker or from the third sector. We would discuss the study with you and invite you to an individual interview with a researcher. This can be held in-person or online and you will get a voucher to thank you for your time.

We are also open to discussions with individuals who might have a particular prison in mind for this research. If you have have good links with the prison and it holds young men aged 18-25 years then drop us an email (fatherstogether@ucl.ac.uk).
