For years, many young men have been unjustly labelled as being absent parents who father children and then nine months down the line have disappeared never to be heard from again! This is true in many cases and there are a lot of young fathers within our society who do not live up to their responsibilities as fathers, let alone as men.
The aim of fatherstogether.com is to drastically improve the well-being of children by encouraging and inspiring men to become more effectively involved in the lives of their children. We aim to highlight the plight of men who through no fault of their own are unable to be fathers to their own children. Some dad’s are role models within their community, yet to children other than their own. Paradoxically, be it due to a messy break up or to the idiosyncrasies of the legal system, many men who have done and do all that is in their power to be the positive role model in their child’s life do not have the opportunity to spend time with and bond with their children.
This site will bring you information and ideas on how to be more interactive and pro-active with your children, important information regarding family law where children are concerned, celebrity interviews, a forum to talk to other fathers who may be in the same situation as you, events, news and whole lot more. In 1998 the Metropolitan Police set up Trident as an anti-gun crime operation to help bring an end to a spate of shootings and murders among young, black Londoners. It consists of over 300 police officers and 70 support staff .
They are advised and informed by a group of black community leaders called the Trident Independent Advisory Group as 75% percent of London's gun crime involves victims and suspects both coming from within the black communities.Trident not only works because of its partnership with community leaders but also because of its robust attitude and intelligence based policing.
