On December 12th 2009 Fatherstogether joined forces with Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH) to raise money and awareness in aid of one common cause......
THEIR CHILDREN!
This was an extremely important walk in that many fathers, especially from the ethnic minority communities have been unjustly labeled as being absent parents who father children and then nine months down the line have disappeared never to be heard from again! This is true in many cases and there are a lot of young fathers within our society who do not live up to their responsibilities as fathers, let alone as men....BUT....there are also many who do fulfill there role as loving, supportive parents and who play a vital role in the lives of their children.
The fathers walked 12miles from GOSH to the Windmill pub in clapham Commom and then on to Mr A's Brassarie which is situated in the borough of Wandsworth.
.......but wait for it
they dressed in their childrens favourite character's ie Spiderman, Harry Potter, Power Rangers, Teletubbies....you get my drift :-)

Great Ormond Street Hospital provides inspirational and world class care to hundreds of children every day, but need to raise over £50 million every year to help keep the magic alive.
.This funding goes towards an ambitious programme to rebuild two thirds of the hospital which will give everyone the space they need, making cramped, outdated wards a thing of the past.
.The patients and staff need state-of-the-art equipment, but specialist tools are expensive, especially those suitable for children and young babies.
.Researchers are leading the way, discovering and developing treatments for complex medical conditions. Funding their pioneering journeys today will make a difference for generations to come.

UK Rapper/Actor Kruga (Formally known as Fredi Kruga) and Producer/Singer Song writer Wayne Mcneish have joined forces on a Christmas smash. Both devoted fathers have put there musical talents together to record a track entitled 'Fathers Everywhere' which is due for release sometime in December.
A video has been scheduled for October/November and we need your help. If your son or daughter can act, model, dance....or just looks cute and you would love to see them on the big screen, contact us at info@fatherstogether.com and we'll give you more details.
F2G have confirmed their big Pre-Christmas party for fathers and their children. (DON'T WORRY.... you mums are allowed to come too but not at the beginning).

In January 2010 we will publish details of the fourth coming 'Give mum a break' trips.
Day trips designed to give the ever working mother a break but more importantly a chance to give us fathers time to enjoy and bond with our children. NO MOTHERS ALLOWED!! We will embark on a number of day trips to places such as Chessington World Of Adventures, Thorpe Park, London Aquarium, London Zoo, Madame Tussauds, Alton Towers just to name a few.......but may I stress.....NO MOTHERS ALLOWED!!! These trips will allow dads to share in the joy of their children and also allow them to share with others the joy of what it means to be a Father.

 In the summer of 2010 we extend our trips to families as a whole with our families together break. The family unit is often overlooked and the effect this has on society as whole often disregarded. Here at Fathers Together we believe that encouraging families to do more together will help to build a stronger foundation for life, thus helping our children have a greater understanding, respect and love for the family unit.
In the Summer of 2010 we are planning a vacation to one of a number of destinations to be confirmed. A real chance not only to have fun but also to travel abroad in the security of a group which will undoubtedly be fun for all involved......especially the children.
